Placement and Testing :: Programs
The IEP placement test is given to each new student before they begin to determine the proper level of instruction. The test has four parts: writing, listening, grammar and reading. During the first week of class, instructors carefully review the students' performance and make appropriate adjustments in the placement if approved. These procedures ensure that students get full benefit from the program as they progress through the levels.
The IEP Exam and the Institutional TOEFL (paper-based) are administered to each student at the end of each session to evaluate progress in the program. Student achievement in course work and on tests is recorded on an official evaluation form.
The program sends this form, which documents all session results and teacher assessments, to students and their sponsors. In addition, students leaving the program are awarded a Certificate of Participation.
